Weekly Book Giveaway: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1, by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Robert Hack
This week's Book Giveaway is the first volume of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which combines the first six issues of the much more horror-focused reboot of the Archie comic Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I'm only halfway through it, but I can already attest to the excellence of the art and the unpleasantness of the story. A full review will follow shortly...
Now with more bloodshed
If io9 is to be believed, the CW may have done the impossible: made an Archie TV adaptation that I actually want to watch. I'm not sure how much it actually has in common with the long-running comic book series, but I'll watch any teen show that "really wants to be Twin Peaks"...

Speak of the wishy-washy devil and he shall appear.
Hah! I was just referencing Archie's perpetual romantic waffling, and immediately ran across this charming news item: according to MediaBistro, the Archie/Veronica/Betty love triangle is going to be transformed into a series of YA novels...
Take that, Glee.
Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character in the Archie 'verse, is getting his own miniseries. According to the New York Post, the four-issue series will "[Explain] how Keller arrived in River...
I'm *sure* there's already fanfic about this.
Huh. Apparently, long-running comic series Archie is about to introduce its first openly gay character. It's sweet that the Archie writers are trying to make their universe more diverse, but ge...
