READ TO YOUR KIDS.

There is a great article on WHYY about "Reach Out and Read", a program that hands out free books to parents of young children at well-child checkups, starting at six months of age. Research has shown that 25% of children in a national sample are never read to, and another 25% are only read to once or twice weekly, so programs like this one are hugely important.
