Fellow cookbook nerds take note: there's a fascinating article in The New Yorker about the ongoing battle between the descendants of Irma Rombauer, author of The Joy of Cooking, and disgraced Cornell University food behavior scientist Brian Wansink, who has made several (iffy) claims about the nutritional contents of the famous cookbook. Personally, I wouldn't trust Wansink to tell me the weather, but someone at Cornell must really like him.
