Melissa Marr is the author of Wicked Lovely, a YA fantasy that’s one of our Featured Book Picks. While Wicked Lovely has a lot in common with Holly Black’s urban fairy tales, Marr’s world is slightly less hardcore, making it suitable for a wider range of readers. (There’s still tattoos and sex and evil fairies and stuff, but this is diet goth, while Black’s stuff is the full-calorie verision.)
