Jennifer Weiner

I thought that Jennifer Weiner’s first book, the bestselling Good in Bed, was pretty good. I was bored by the angsty absentee-father plotline and rolled my eyes at the melodramatic ending, but still thought the book was worth my hard-earned fourteen dollars. However, those of my friends that have struggled with dieting absolutely loved it. They said that that the very plus-sized main character’s quest to be thin (a major plotline) is both funny as hell and absolutely spot-on.

Note: This book is apparently going to be made into a “Sex in the City”-style show for HBO.
