L.J. Smith

Being a fan of L.J. Smith is somewhat trying, as we’ve been waiting for the final book in her Night World series for the better part of a decade. So while I cannot in good conscience describe that particular series as Wordcandy (Wordcandy always has a satisfying ending!), I do recommend the rest of her books to anyone who enjoys sexy, suspenseful, teen angst-y books with a horror/supernatural bent.

Aftertaste:
WHERE IS BOOK TEN?!?

Availability:
These books are getting harder to find (possibly because people don’t like waiting for SEVEN YEARS TO READ A SEQUEL) so you might try your local library or hunt through online sources for used books.

Other Recommendations:
Anything by Laurell K. Hamilton

Blood and Chocolate, by Annette Curtis Klause

Sunshine, by Robin McKinley

Fire and Hemlock and Deep Secret, by Diana Wynne Jones
