Laurie R. King

Best known for her Sherlock Holmes/Mary Russell mysteries, Laurie R. King is a highly literary mystery/suspense novelist with a tendency to develop stories around her other interests, particularly art and theology. Although Ms. King is a remarkable writer (much like the inferior-but-similar-in-style Arturo Perez-Reverte) the quality of her stories’ dénouements are frequently sacrificed in favor of atmosphere and characterization.
