British humorist Jerome K. Jerome's stories are like slightly sub-par
P.G. Wodehouse novels. (Ordinarily that would be a criticism, but most of Wodehouse's stories are works of such staggering genius that describing somebody as slightly sub-par Wodehouse is actually high praise, so don't take offense, any rabid Jerome K. Jerome readers out there.) Anyway, if you're a fan of Bertie Wooster, and you've ever wondered what his life would have been like
sans Jeeves, just pick up Jerome K. Jerome's
Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) and find out.
Note: Jerome K. Jerome was an actor, and once claimed to have played every part in
Hamlet except Ophelia.
Aftertaste:None.
Availability:Limited. Alas, Jerome K. Jerome's sales are
very sub-par Wodehouse.
Other Recommendations:Anything by
P.G. Wodehouse, naturally.
