Okay, this is awesome: there is a bunch of book- and film-related memorabilia up for sale on the online WGA Garage Sale, an auction benefitting the striking members of the Writers Guild of America. This offer has already been closed, but someone bought the rights to have a character named after them in an upcoming Michael Connelly novel for over eight thousand dollars. What a generous bid, and I hope the winner is happy with their upcoming moment in the literary spotlight!
