Much ado about nothing

There was a pearl-clutching meltdown in certain conservative circles over the weekend over a set of leaked photos from the upcoming Disney remake of Snow White, which will star actress Rachel Zeigler, who is of Polish and Columbian descent, as well as a diverse group of actors playing the "Seven Dwarves". Various anti-woke crusaders were very up in arms about "authenticity" and respecting the story's German roots. Oddly, they didn't seem that upset when the original Disney movie skipped this bit at the end of the story:

"[The Wicked Queen] was so paralyzed with fear that she didn't know what to do. At first she didn't want to go to the wedding feast. But she never had a moment's peace after that and had to go see the young queen. When she entered, Snow White recognized her right away. The queen was so terrified that she just stood there and couldn't budge an inch. Iron slippers had already been heated up for her over a fire of coals. There were brought in with tongs and set up right in front of her. She had to put on the red-hot shoes and iron shoes and dance in them until she dropped to the ground dead."

If they're so hot on historical accuracy, I think they should go all the way. Start a campaign for Disney to cap off their happily-ever-after wedding scene with a public torture sequence, guys! It's what the Grimm brothers would have wanted.
