We're kicking off our annual gift guide with something I wish someone would buy me: this staggeringly gorgeous (and, alas, equally expensive) Folio Society edition of Diana Wynne Jones's modern classic Howl's Moving Castle. Seriously, the high-pitched noise I made when I first saw this book scared my cat.
