WE RETURN

It's been about three years since we last blogged, and—as someone with multiple asthmatic family members who need to continue to take covid very seriously—that's about how long it's taken me to accept that the world probably isn't going back to our pre-2020 version of “normal” any time soon. (I'm sorry! I'm slow to adapt!) I have continued to read, however, and found myself missing the opportunity to complain/enthuse about books to a wider audience than the three people (one of whom is a toddler, and could not care less) in my pandemic bubble, so I've decided to blow the dust off this sucker and dip my toe back into the world of book-blogging.

We're kicking things off with a giveaway: Tirzah Price's 2021 novel Pride and Premeditation is a mystery/suspense YA take on Jane Austen's classic novel, and—spoiler alert—it's really cute. Check back later for a full review, followed throughout the week by our holiday gift guide.
