Better than all those made-for-TV musicals, I suppose.

The first trailer is out for the BBC's upcoming adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, and it looks creepy as hell. Were people really clamoring for more authentic Victorian horror with their holiday schmaltz? Weren't the ghosts and the graves enough?
