Modern classic

The Hollywood Reporter informs me that Andrew Scott—best known as the “Hot Priest” on Fleabag—has signed on to star as the title character in a Showtime series based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel The Talented Mr. Ripley (and its sequels). I thought the 1999 movie adaptation of this book was excellent, but maybe enough time has passed for a fresh take. (Here's hoping the wardrobe is just as good, however.)
