Webtoons: My Giant Nerd Boyfriend

Next up in our week of Webtoons mini-reviews is My Giant Nerd Boyfriend, a comedy/romance/slice of life story written by someone who calls herself fishball. This series, which is updated three times a week, consists of a bunch of A+++ standalone jokes about the writer and her much-taller boyfriend, both professional illustrators based in Malaysia. The strip does a spectacular job of balancing sweetness with humor, and I wish it could be assigned as required reading for all those TV showrunners who decide they have to break up popular pairings because they think pointless angst is inherently more interesting.
