And speaking of Cadillac Desert (as well as David Owen's Where the Water Goes), I see that the federal government recently announced an end-of-year deadline to resolve water rights issues surrounding the Colorado River. Personally, I don't think the current presidential administration is, uh, the ideal brain trust to deal with this brewing crisis, so I'm hoping people more immediately affected will come up with a realistic plan ASAP.
