Wow: actor and YouTube "star" Kian Lawley has been dropped from the upcoming movie adaptation of award-winning novel The Hate U Give after a video surfaced of him making racist comments. Riverdale star KJ Apa will take over his role. I've never heard great things about Apa's acting (and I expect it would be tough for any actor to step into a fully-shot film), but Lawley obviously had to go. (And whoever was in charge of vetting his online persona should probably be fired.)
