In tribute

In honor of the 50th anniversary of E.L. Konigsburg’s classic children's book From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, the Smithsonian recently published an article claiming to tell the "true story" behind the novel. That headline makes it sound more exciting than the article turns out to be (it's full of groundbreaking tidbits like "Konigsburg’s daughter Laurie... modeled for her mother’s black-and-white illustrations"), but it's still well worth reading.
