Everyone pokes fun at Lifetime dramas, but this upcoming 8-episode miniseries adaptation of Petra Hammesfahr's novel The Sinner actually sounds like a story People magazine would love:

"A young mother stabs a man to death, in front of dozens of witnesses, without motive or explanation."

And if that young mother looked like Jessica Biel? They would report on it until they ran out of ink.
