Stone age melancholy

There's a glowing review over on Slate of DC’s "brilliant new Flintstones comic". If this essay is to be believed, DC has taken the formerly cheery Saturday morning cartoon and turned it into a social satire about "the profound fragility of civilization—but also about the unlikely durability of the human connections that make it up." That may or may not be accurate, but I find myself distracted by the discovery that Stone Age housewife Wilma has immaculately shaved underarms. Maybe some things are still too sacred to mess with, huh, DC?
