Who knew?

Today, the website Cup of Jo posted an interview with a trio of New York Times Magazine employees about creating eye-catching cover art: design director Gail Bichler, associate photo editor Stacey Baker and prop stylist Randi Brookman Harris. The whole thing is a fascinating read, but I was really impressed by how some of their more spectacular images were actually physically created, rather than using Photoshop. (The Trump balloon story was particularly crazy.)
