So, some dude is auctioning off Truman Capote's ashes, in case you're in the market for some truly creepy literary memorabilia. According to Vanity Fair, Julien’s Auctions has announced that Capote’s ashes will be sold in late September. Julien’s C.E.O., Darren Julien, claims that the whole thing is A-okay, because "...Truman Capote loved the element of shock. He loved publicity. And I’m sure he’s looking down laughing, and saying, ‘That’s something I would have done.’ He was a larger-than-life character.” Doesn't make it any less gross, son.
