A milestone

In honor of Beverly Cleary's 100th birthday, NPR put together a lovely tribute to her life and work. My godparents' house is one street over from Klickitat Street in Portland, Oregon (the setting for many of Ms. Cleary's most famous books), and every time I drive past the street sign I feel like I'm experiencing a brush with greatness. Happy birthday, Ms. Cleary, and thank you for all that you've done.
