Speaking of paperback vs. hardcover editions, I recently caught my first glimpse of the original hardcover version of Anne McCaffrey's 1967 scifi novel Restoree, and it is absolutely spectacular. How on Earth did I end up with this cheeseball 80s version, and how can I convince Del Rey to bring back the original cover art for a reprint*?

*Because no, I'm not shelling out £275 for an original version. Restoree is pulp-tastic fun, but not £275 fun.
