Rowling on TV
Dec 16
2014
According to NPR, the BBC is planning to adapt two more of J.K. Rowling's novels for television: The Cuckoo's Calling and The Silkworm. Rowling wrote both books under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, and they feature a private detective named Cormoran Strike. (Which, while no "Dolores Umbridge", is still pretty great. I don't think Rowling gets enough credit for her ongoing contributions to the fine British tradition of writing phone-book-length books about characters with insane names. Seriously, there should be a special award for such things. The Dickens?)
