A literary battle

According to NPR, a lawsuit has been filed in an ongoing fight over the late Maurice Sendak's personal library. The Rosenbach Museum and Library in Philadelphia has accused the executors of Sendak's estate of failing to comply with the terms of Sendak's will, which left most of the author's rare book collection (along with examples of his own work) to be displayed at the museum. The museum accuses the estate executors of planning to sell several valuable books by Peter Rabbit author Beatrix Potter at an upcoming Christie's auction of Sendak's belongings, and suggests that the executors are justifying their actions by claiming that children's books (like Potter's work) are automatically barred from qualifying as "rare books".
