Maybe satirical rhyming?

NPR has a great article up about the newly-announced Poet Laureate: Charles Wright, a retired professor at the University of Virginia. So far, his reaction has not given me much faith in his eloquence:

"I'm very honored and flattered to be picked, but also somewhat confused... I really don't know what I'm supposed to do. But as soon as I find out, I'll do it."

and...

"I'll do what they ask me, and I'll try to come up with some ideas about things, but I'm not going to actively go out and stir up the honey bucket, you know."

Not sure what the poetic version of "stirring up the honey bucket" refers to, but I guess I'm glad he plans to avoid it...?
