Alien monkeys!

According to THR, Twentieth Century Fox has picked up Mark Millar's comic Superior, intending to transform it into a big-screen adaptation produced by Matthew Vaughn. The comic ran for seven issues and centers around a 12-year-old boy who has recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The boy is approached by a monkey-like creature who offers him a magic wish: the ability to become his favorite superhero, Superior. The boy loves his new powers, but discovers that the monkey is actually a demon, and he will have to trade his soul if he wants to keep his super-powered body. The whole thing sounds like a really belabored analogy for steroid use to me, but I'm told it's actually pretty good.
