I do like the cover, though.

The website Word and Film recently posted an interview with Jennifer Graham, who co-wrote (with series creator Rob Thomas) the first Veronica Mars novel, The Thousand Dollar Tan Line. I admit I have my doubts: why did Thomas, himself a novelist, require a co-writer for a 336-page-long book? How will this admittedly far-fetched series fare without the remarkable chemistry of the actors to sell it? Will this story, set immediately after the feature film, lead to a long-running series, eventually spawning the noir equivalent of Star Wars: Luke and Leia's 35th Family Reunion? I have no idea, but the book hits shelves today, so if I didn't have a deep-seated hatred of $16 paperbacks I could totally find out.
