NBC is feelin' bold

2013
Fresh off the questionable success of their Sound of Music adaptation, NBC has ordered another update of a modern classic, according to THR: a four-hour miniseries based on author Ira Levin's 1967 horror novel Rosemary's Baby. Casting will begin immediately, and Oscar-and Emmy-nominated Agnieszka Holland has been hired to direct. I'm not a big Rosemary's Baby fan, so I don't have a horse in this race, but I am hoping they don't cast any more American Idol alums. I'm sorry, NBC, but some things just aren't a natural fit, no matter how much the star in question resembles Skipper Barbie.
