He'll have to console himself with all that cash.

The Onion's AV Club has written an enjoyably nasty article about Alan Moore's response to the recent announcement that Fox is planning on turning his comic The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen into a TV series. Moore has been outspoken about his disapproval of the many attempts to adapt his work into other mediums, and his comment on Fox's latest attempt is typical:
"Now it seems [that Fox is] recycling things that have already proven not to work.”
As the AV Club points out, Moore's lip-pursing disapproval hasn't stopped him from accepting huge sums of money for the various rights to his stories, though.
