A very serious yawn in the making.

Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender have just been cast as Lord and Lady Macbeth in an upcoming movie adaptation of Shakespeare's play, according to NME. I've read several glowing reviews of Alan Cumming's current one-man adaptation of MacBeth, which briefly stirred up my interest in re-reading the play, but this new announcement smoothed it right back down. I find Portman and Fassbender to be active deterrents—both so pretty, and yet so overrated.
Note: I would totally go see it if the filmmakers made a movie worthy of this Classics Illustrated cover, but they probably won't. Well, not intentionally, anyway.
