Room 237, in depth

I had no idea people had devoted so much energy to analyzing Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining, but apparently there's enough interest in picking apart the deeper significance of every shifted prop, altered costume, and misplaced window to justify making a whole documentary about it. Who knew? I'd always just assumed that after making Barry Lyndon, Kubrick wanted something that would make actual money...
Also, I just learned that there's going to be a sequel to The Shining, due out this September. (I'm clearly not a serious King fan.) According to its Wikipedia article, Dr. Sleep will tell the story of a middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining), who now works in a nursing home and has to protect a 12-year-old girl with similar psychic gifts.
