If it remained a miniseries, it might have a chance.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has ordered 10 episodes of a new drama based on Bram Stoker's Dracula. The series will feature The Tudors' Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the title character, and offers a new take on the story:
"The series... takes place in the 1890s and finds Dracula living a double life in London as an American businessman interested in bringing modern science to Victorian society."
Uh, historical vampires in prime time? I fully expect this to be terrible, but I can buy Rhys Meyers as a vampire; here's hoping his well-documented personal troubles don't rear their ugly heads.
