According to The Guardian, a new British study claims that boys are no longer lagging behind girls when it comes to reading ability. The group What Kids Are Reading examined the reading habits of more than 210,000 primary and secondary school children from across the UK, and their Summary of Key Findings is pretty interesting, although I have some questions about the methods they used to collect their data. (They keep on emphasizing that slightly more boys than girls "yielded data", although they don't explain if/how that would skew the results. It's all very confusing.)
