Cynthia Leitich Smith, author of the YA dark fantasy novel Tantalize, the subject of one of our Book of the Week reviews, is an Austin, Texas-based author noted for her stories’ cultural diversity and mid-to-southwestern settings. Tantalize is both her first title set in Austin and her first book aimed at older teen readers.

Well, with an ending like that one, there better be a sequel to Tantalize (or at least some decent fanfiction).
