Leonard Wibberley

While the wildly prolific Irish-American writer and journalist Leonard Wibberley wrote about, oh, a bazillion books and articles, only one of them has survived the ravages of time and become a Wordcandy-worthy publication: 1955’s gloriously bizarre The Mouse That Roared. Originally published as a serial in the Saturday Evening Post as a story called “The Day New York Was Invaded”, The Mouse That Roared is the subject of one of our book of the week reviews.
