Isobelle Carmody is the Australian author of both the Obernewtyn Chronicles (the first book of which is one of our Featured Titles) and Alyzon Whitestarr, an excellent standalone young adult fantasy novel.

Aftertaste:
We were pretty upset about the fact that the US, UK, and Canadian publishers for the Obernewtyn books split the last two installments into four, but it turns out we actually get a way better deal.

Availability:
Very limited. For some reason, some of the large chain bookstores never carry this author.
